Kimberly Nichole Johnson has been teaching for over a decade with a strong foundation in classical ballet, classical music, early childhood education and group exercise. She founded Barre Remedy Outreach in 2016 to expand on the dance and fitness opportunities for the Canyon County community and recently launched Gem State Ballet Ensemble. Prior to teaching dance she taught Suzuki Violin lessons and worked in early childhood education. Kimberly is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3. She has received additional teacher training from Runqiao Du Ballet Coaching, the Suzuki Association Of The Americas as well as from Patricia Blair with Ballet Chicago. Kimberly holds certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique, American Barre Technique as well as Principles of Dance, Dancer Injury Prevention, Dancer Nutrition and Pre Pointe Assessment through NDEO and Harkness Center for Dance Injuries.  

Although Kimberly has studied at a number of different studios, she has spent nearly a decade training at Ballet Idaho with the Adult Division where she is currently a teacher for the Learning Through Dance Outreach Program, the Adult Division and the Children’s Division. She also teaches pre-pointe and  pointe at The Spot Dance Studio. She has choreographed for Explore Dance Company, Gem State Ballet Ensemble, Dance Unlimited, Canyon Dance Academy and Barre Remedy. Kimberly is excited to teach Ballet level 3-5, level 8-Pro and PBT with Dance Unlimited this season. When she is not teaching, she is playing music with her husband, spending time with her three children or playing with her two huskies.
